It's coming together | LUCTUS | DEVLOG#2


So, a lot of progress has been done for the development.

Now, you can see somethings that I've done over the past month.

  • a new UI, now with this, your eyes doesn't goes everywhere to look for the right things. It's all contained in a nice area around the player.
  • Also added health bars for the enemies.
  • A new Dialogue system - The code is in the build, but I haven't implemented the level to show of the new dialogue, so, I'm sorry... I'll try to get it done by the next devlog
  • Language System - Added localization system, so it should be easier if I did everything with localization in mind.
  • Improved a bit on the controls, please check it out and tell me what you think. It's a bit different, hope that it's more responsive.
  • Changed the Life Steal to a single button powerup (previously the Life Steal was a grenade, and it renders the original grenade obsolete since the Life Steal is how you gain health.)
    • Now, when you activated the life-steal, half of your damage will goes to you, while the other half will damage the enemy.
    • Life steal still only effects health though, it cannot life steal shield. I mean, it's called life-steal.


Well, that's about it for the progress so far.

Hope by next month, the development build could reach the point of the prototype.
